Food Truck Pro's

April 10, 2018

Food Truck Guru here, going to bring you a two part blog series in regards to the Pro's and Con's of the food truck world. The Food Truck Guru has been a staple in the food truck industry for over 7 years now, and love this industry. I know the good, the bad, and the outrageous and i'm going to pass that knowledge on to you.

Here are the pro's with facts about the food truck industry.

  • Less Of A Risk

  • Be Your Own Boss

  • Overhead Costs

Less Of A Risk

Start up cost is everything in the restaurant industry, so obviously the less you have in the less you have to risk.

The average restaurant costs average $275,000.00 and that is renting the space your business is going into. If looking to own the building and opening the new businesses the average price to get started is $475,000.00.

A food truck built by Premier Food Trucks averages $185,000.00 and you own it.

Less financial risk is huge, but also less risk of not being able to acquire customers.

If your restaurant stops seeing foot traffic what do you do?

If your food truck stops seeing traffic, you drive somewhere new. Its the perfect way to ensure less of a risk.

Be Your Own Boss

Every morning we wake up, get dressed to go our job that we hate, and listen to someone tell us how to do our job.

Now that changes. It is up to you to set your schedule, up to you to make the money and the rules.

It is one of the most terrifying things you can ever do, It is also the most rewarding.

Every day you wake up and you are your own boss, is one day closer to being happy.

Overhead Costs

Cashiers, hosts, servers, utilities and paying your staff in general can really stack up when you are running a restaurant. With a mobile kitchen business, the cost of things go down, or are nonexistent. Therefore, the day-to-day costs are also cheaper with a mobile kitchen — they are easier to maintain and operate as well.
